- Run analysis, experiments, reports and more to better understand and improve sales, profitability and process efficiency for internal customers.
- Draw actionable insights from varying data sets: consumption, market share, digital shelf, search, among many others.
- Interpret complex datasets to tell stories and develop an organized set of conclusions/recommendations that can be easily digested by a broad audience.
- Build partnerships with cross-functional teams to understand trends and opportunities for improvement, address customer needs and product pain-points.
- Help build automated reporting through AI & BI Platforms, visualizations, and analytical models.
- Work with syndicated data sources and partner with technical teams to facilitate the consumption of data for APIs.
- In partnership with other members of the team, collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to support/optimize innovation launches and promotional strategies.
- Participation with sales results, annual planning, and forecasting processes.
- Support the continued enhancement and evolution of Newell's analytics capabilities to a best-in-class level.
- Stay up to date on industry trends/innovations and drive new analytics initiatives that contribute to business goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, business.
- 1-5 years of direct hands on-Retail/ CPG experience providing solutions in a large global company. Omnichannel experience preferred.
- 1+ years of experience with Target business and expertise with systems such as Vender IQ, SOLYS, or BPD data is preferred.
- Skill with Microsoft Office applications for the creations of reports, presentations and analysis including Excel functions, formulas, pivot tables, Power Pivot and Power Query.
- Preferred experience with data tools such as ChatGPT, PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik.
- Strong business acumen with an analytical and problem-solving mindset. Familiarity with financial concepts preferred (promotional lift, profitability, inventory levels, etc.).
- Ability to operate in a matrixed team environment with deadlines & deliverable dates shifting around.
- Intellectual curiosity for digging into the underlying story to be told with data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to both a technical and non-technical audience.
- Experience synthesizing disparate data sources to drive to logical, concise, and actionable conclusions, preferred.
- Experience using POS Sales data alongside other data sources such as invoice, product margin, supply chain, web marketing, product, and shopper behavior metrics to provide a holistic program for retail growth, preferred.
- Understanding of analytical processes including but not limited to data management, forecasting, optimization, predictive modeling and visualization.
