Job Title: Microbiology Lab TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Microbiology Lab Technician to perform Bioburden testing on medical device products and support the Microbiology team. This role involves media preparation and sterilization using aseptic techniques during sample preparation. The technician will recognize malfunctions in laboratory equipment and either notify management or perform simple repairs, along with conducting preventative maintenance and laboratory housekeeping. Adhering to procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices is crucial. The role also includes LAL testing and training on USP 61 and USP 62.Responsibilities
  • Conduct Bioburden testing on medical device products.
  • Support the Microbiology team in daily operations.
  • Prepare and sterilize media utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Recognize and address malfunctions in laboratory equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and housekeeping in the laboratory.
  • Follow protocols for data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices.
  • Perform LAL testing and undergo training on USP 61 and USP 62.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Microbiology or related
  • 1+ Years of Microbiology testing experience
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
