- Specify and procure instrumentation for large frame gas turbines.
- Create and maintain IO lists and logic velocity.
- Maintain gas turbine control logic documentation.
- Support project engineering in addressing customer GT instrumentation.
- Assess bids for new gas turbine builds.
- Determine customer instrumentation and control contract requirements and delivery dates.
- Create instrumentation procurement schedules and technical specifications.
- Verify supplier quotes and instrumentation against system P&IDs.
- Create instrument loops and datasheets, as well as drawings for instrumentation.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, project management, and other relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers, sales & marketing, and other internal staff.
- Resolve customer comments on responsible drawings.
- Create and maintain I&C procedures and checklists.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems at various project sites.
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and interpret applicable codes such as ISA, ANSI/NEMA, NFPA, AGA.
- Qualify new vendors if required.
- Travel up to 15%.
- 3+ years of relevant I&C experience in power plants, process/chemical plants, or oil & gas.
- Proficiency in instrumentation, power generation, control systems, IO lists, and technical specifications.
- Experience with P&ID, process instrumentation diagrams, and plant processing knowledge.
- Familiarity with Netmation, MK5, MK6, Complicity, T3000, R3000, Simatic, Ovation, Delta V, and various control and measurement devices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university.
- Experience with control valves and smart plant instrumentation (SPI) and Smart Plant 3D (S3D) is highly desirable.
- Ability to conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for instrumentation.
- Experience in supporting field operations and providing start-up commissioning and troubleshooting support.
- Strong language skills for reading, writing, and presenting technical information.
- Mathematical proficiency with concepts such as probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Strong reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and interpret technical instructions.
