Formtek Inc. is an original equipment manufacturer located in Twinsburg, Ohio. We design and build custom production lines for other manufacturers both domestic and internationally. We specialize in roll-forming and metal forming processes.Job DescriptionThe Service Assistant is responsible for coordinating all administrative duties related to supporting and assisting all members of the Formtek Service Team.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIES:A part of the day-to-day activities of the FMF Service Department to answer calls from customers relating to the service on their machinery.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support for all service technicians as well as the Service Manager.
  • Answers all service-related calls and forwards them to appropriate Service Team Member. Having knowledge of mechanical matters is preferable as customers will relay the issues they are having with their machines needing repairs.
  • Organizes the service calendar, creates service visit quotes, and inputs jobs into Jobscope system. Responsible for accurately maintaining and preserving all these documents into a paperless, shared directory.
  • Works closely with Service Manager to make all travel arrangements for Service Team members, carefully ensuring all trips are complete and ready for the Team member.
  • Enters labor hours for service work into the ERP system, Jobscope.
  • Works closely with all Service Team members to advise and coordinate any travel or service calls from customers.
  • Maintains and prepares expense reports and requests travel advances for all Service members.
  • Acts as administrative liaison with internal/external sources
  • Handles inquiries about products and services and other customer support functions.
  • Performs weekly and monthly report updates of service calls by pulling data from all sources to compile.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:5 + years administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanically inclined, able to discuss simple mechanical functions with customers and Team members.
  • Basic understanding of machine hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems preferred.
  • Ability to adjust and change priorities as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive computer skills required including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet applications.
Core Hours- Monday through Friday 6:45 am-3:15 pm; optional overtime.Rate- Based on experience and education.Education and Experience Requirements
