Midland University, a private, faith-based, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is seeking an exceptional faculty member for a full-time psychology position beginning either January or August 2025.Duties include:
Teaching a variety of lower- and upper-level psychology courses, based on expertise and departmental need (4:4 teaching load)
Measuring and analyzing program outcomes for continuous improvement
Engaging students with innovative teaching practices
Developing and implementing curriculum based on student and profession needs
Partnering across the university for student recruiting, retention, and graduation
Creating performance and program goals with continuous reflection and a willingness to accept feedback
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
PhD in Psychology or a related discipline
Experience teaching a variety of psychology courses
ABA experience is desirable but not required.
Commitment to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff, and students
The ability to create dynamic and relevant learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom by continuously seeking and applying new, relevant information and ideas.
A genuine interest in student development as it relates to mentoring for internships, employment and graduate study
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster a collegial work environment that encourages change and innovation; and an ability to interact effectively and work productively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups
