Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from home.*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Creating and maintaining provider demographic, billing, and network contract information within a database
  • Audit provider loads for adherence to quality measurers and reporting standards
  • Recommend methods to improve processes used by department

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of work experience in a corporate setting
  • 2+ years of experience in managed care or medical insurance experience (can include credentialing providers, provider relations, medical billing, provider administration)
  • 1+ years of data entry experience and in a role requiring strong prioritization/organizational skills within a product environment meeting goals
  • 6+ months of medical claims experience (credentialing of a provider or practice, HCFA forms (1500 Form), UB or hospital claims forms, reimbursement claim forms)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (create and edit documents) and Microsoft Excel (sort and filter)
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Ability to work any 8-hour shift between 8:00am - 5:00pm CST
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Data analysis experience within the healthcare industry
  • Experience with updating provider records
  • Experience working with healthcare provider data
  • Experience in medical claims processing
  • Experience training/mentoring peers
Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Reside within Eastern, Central OR Mountain Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York or Rhode Island Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado / Connecticut / New York / New Jersey / Rhode Island residents is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
