SharePoint/Web Applications Administrator/Power BI DeveloperJob DescriptionThe SharePoint and Web Applications Administrator/Power BI Developer will oversee the optimization of the federal client’s SharePoint infrastructure while designing and deploying insightful Power BI dashboards. This dual-function role drives enterprise-wide collaboration, streamlines business processes, and empowers data-informed decision-making across functional teams.The role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing on-premises SharePoint infrastructure, ensuring system stability and scalability. Design and implement repeatable business workflows within SharePoint, provide technical support for integrated web applications, and lead the migration of legacy platforms into SharePoint or equivalent enterprise solutions. The role must deliver end-user training and support to promote effective utilization of SharePoint tools and services.Required Skills
  • Experience in configuring new SharePoint sites and deploying custom features.
  • Extensive knowledge of SharePoint tools, including ULS logs, Workflow Designer, and SharePoint forms for tasks.
  • Ability to review usage/activity reports and adjust SharePoint to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Knowledge of business requirements analysis and the ability to create design specifications for SharePoint-based solutions, including workflows and forms.
  • Knowledge of or experience with integrating Microsoft Team Foundation Server with SharePoint sites.
  • Ability to build SharePoint dashboards using data analytics and business intelligence solutions in the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services platform.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint installation and integration in a High Availability and MinRole environment.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint updates, product roadmap, and upgrade processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, as well as MS SQL Server, PowerShell, Power BI, Office, and Office Integration.
  • Working knowledge of Windows server and network infrastructure services and topics such as encryption, firewalls, Active Directory, DNS, and security zones.
  • Ability to maintain records of SharePoint system updates and user activity.
  • Ability to produce and revise technical documentation, briefings, recommendations, and other written/oral work products.
  • Ability to provide SharePoint users with training and resolve Tier 2/Tier 3 issues.

Job Duties
  • Design, develop, and maintain on-premises Microsoft SharePoint sites and farms, including creating new SharePoint sites, adding document libraries and lists, applying regular software updates, performing archiving and data backup tasks, and reviewing regular usage reports and error logs (taking appropriate action when necessary to ensure the farm’s continued health).
  • Maintain the on-premises Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure (host servers and services).
  • Monitor and maintain SharePoint content to assure its quality, security, integrity, and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with the design and delivery of SharePoint content in the farm.
  • Consult with business teams to design, prototype, test, and implement SharePoint features such as workflows, forms, dashboards, search, document libraries, lists, etc. to implement business processes more efficiently with SharePoint and SharePoint Designer.
  • Perform routine administrative activities such as site creation, permissions maintenance, user/content manager training, creation and maintenance of SharePoint guidelines and policies, and content troubleshooting.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint documentation.
  • Design, develop, test, review, modify, and maintain enterprise content, SharePoint web parts, and user interfaces; mentor/advise site owners for site-specific content.
  • Create and maintain SharePoint sites and hierarchies to best manage the logical organization and presentation of content.
  • Consult with database administrators in the development and deployment of dashboards using Data Analytical and Business Intelligence solutions in the Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services platform.
  • Manage and provide expertise to a content management framework that incorporates automated templates, versioning/document management, workflows, real-time collaborative editing, network mapping between SharePoint libraries and Windows for end users; allows scalable expansion; and enables capabilities such as intuitive interfaces with back-end data sources and automation of critical business and information processes.
  • Establish and maintain an IT AppDev Project Portal that uses Windows SharePoint Services to integrate Team Foundation Server (TFS) into the SharePoint portal.
  • Maintain SharePoint user accounts and permissions in accordance with established SharePoint site governance plans and policies, and other established information security/information assurance policies and procedures.
  • Collect and analyze SharePoint content usage and performance statistics; provide advice and guidance to site owners and ensure continued delivery.
  • Provide SharePoint content management training and support, in conjunction with established ITIL-compliant help desk policies and procedures.
  • Provide support for existing web applications. These applications include, but are not limited to, the Moodle training website and Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
  • Provide support to the agency’s Knowledge Management program. Manage databases and other automated systems for component-level applications; analyze business practices; and recommend automation methods and enhanced information sharing using existing software and web applications.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an IT specialist position providing IT enterprise infrastructure or software development support, with at least two (2) years supporting a SharePoint environment as an administrator or senior developer.
  • Minimum of an undergraduate (Bachelors) degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a related field from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education.
  • Work Location: Arlington, VA, at a Federal Government client's on-site location.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. US Citizenship required.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience as a SharePoint administrator or senior developer, including tasks such as adding users, managing permissions, creating libraries, troubleshooting and resolving issues, maintaining the SharePoint farm and associated servers, and performing backup/archival tasks.
