Job Description:GNC Holdings LLC, headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Lead Developer responsible for leading the development, deployment, and validation of software solutions to support business objectives. This is a hybrid office-based/work-from-home position within the United States. The employee can work remotely from within the United States, but must be able to work in the Pittsburgh, PA office at least two (2) days per week. Specific duties include: (i) developing software solutions across platforms and in different operating environments, including SQL Server, C#, and .net, among others; (ii) configuring software applications based on business requirements and detailed design specifications and deploying same based on current SOX and deployment standards; (iii) supporting software systems design by developing integrated systems and technical specifications from business requirements; (iv) conducting software solution integration and user acceptance testing and developing software system testing criteria; (v) determining software system performance standards and participating in software solutions and systems standards development processes by recommending functional development and integration standards for the business; (vi) working closely with cross-functional teams to translate business designs into technical software solutions; (vii) maintaining and updating software system documentation and status reports and technical specification/design documentation; (viii) providing operational and issue support; (ix) driving and adopting new technologies, including by providing leadership to move current projects’ adoption of new technologies; and (x) supporting solutions by understanding business processes and current strategies, staying current on related system solutions and technologies, leading resolution of cross-functional and complex application-related issues, and validating that the current system documentation is accurate and complete.Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Studies, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4 years of software development experience in the retail industry.Experience must include 4 years with each of the following: (i) creating and consuming RESTful web services; (ii) designing, implementing, and executing unit tests to validate software functionalities; (iii) working with Quality Assurance teams to validate bug fixes; (iv) working with business teams and technical teams on software requirements, system setup, and monitoring; (v) conducting code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices; (vi) utilizing C#, SQL Server, and Azure services; and (vii) investigating production issues reported by users, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.Must also know (from any completed university-level coursework, seminars, workshops, or real-world, hands-on experience) the following: (i) .NET framework; (ii) GitHub; and (iii) Dapper, LINQ, Web APIs, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse.Experience can be concurrent.Please apply at gnc.com.
