Remote Electrical Analysis Engineer!!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with experience in design analysis. This role focuses on component-level analysis rather than hands-on design, making it ideal for engineers who excel in reviewing and validating electrical designs through simulation and spreadsheet-based methodologies.Responsibilities
  • Perform derate analysis on LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) designs against Bill of Materials (BOMs).
  • Analyze electrical components including resistors, capacitors, diodes, and other COTS parts using datasheet specifications.
  • Utilize Excel spreadsheets with built-in equations to conduct and document analysis.
  • Collaborate with a small team of engineers to review and validate design spreadsheets for multiple custom board designs.
  • Apply LTSPICE, MATLAB, and other simulation tools to verify electrical performance and reliability.
  • Support EMI/EMC and power modeling efforts using Ansys.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on electrical robustness and compliance.
  • Interface with design teams using Altium (Altium expertise not required).
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of core EE principles, especially in circuit analysis and component behavior.
  • Experience with LTSPICE, MATLAB, and Excel-based analysis tools.
  • Ability to interpret datasheets and apply derating principles to COTS components.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Ansys for EMI/EMC and power modeling is a plus.
  • Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or high-reliability electronics is preferred.
Work EnvironmentThis role is analysis-heavy with minimal design work. Ideal candidates will have a passion for reviewing and validating designs rather than creating them from scratch.
