Overview of ResponsibilitiesGrowth & Market Execution
- Develop market strategy plans for all major markets of how and when we will execute against company plans.
- Deliver company growth objectives through the strategic execution of market plans and site development.
- Lead the full real estate lifecycle, from site identification through final lease execution.
- Ensure each deal aligns with target timelines, quality standards, and financial goals.
- Select and manage preferred developer(s) for markets overseeing
- Manage and develop a team of Real Estate Directors and/or Managers.
- Provide coaching, strategic direction, and performance oversight to ensure executional excellence.
- Foster a collaborative, high-accountability culture that supports personal and team development.
- Collaborate with Construction, Legal, Finance, Store Operations, and Executive Leadership to coordinate end-to-end development processes.
- Align real estate decisions with broader business and operational goals.
- Develop and build relationships with our key developers and landlords
- Lead collaboratively with Ops, Construction, legal and research to gain feedback, alignment and speed of delivery
- Oversee deal flow across multiple markets or a region, ensuring pipeline health and velocity.
- Act as the key escalation point for complex negotiations or deal obstacles involving landlords, brokers, and municipalities.
- Secure leases with favorable terms, risk mitigation, and strategic alignment.
- Analyze market trends, performance data, and competitive activity to inform prioritization and portfolio planning.
- Adjust strategies to reflect changing market conditions and opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, developers, brokers, and civic stakeholders.
- Represent Sprouts as a preferred tenant and strategic partner.
- Track progress against key metrics, deliver reporting for leadership reviews, and ensure transparency and accountability across the portfolio.
- Contribute to budget management and long-term capital planning processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
- 10–15+ years of experience in commercial real estate, with leadership of multi-region portfolios and senior teams.
- Demonstrated success in retail site selection, lease negotiation, and deal execution.
- Experience coaching and managing senior-level real estate professionals.
- Strong cross-functional partnership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Advanced capabilities in financial modeling, contract structuring, and performance tracking.
