- Set and execute a bold, strategic vision for annuity operations in alignment with company goals.
- Lead and inspire a high-performing operations team focused on efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Operate comfortably in a fast-paced, evolving environment where structures and processes are still being defined.
- Act as the senior liaison between operations and distribution partners to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and innovation by partnering with the VP of IT and leveraging digital tools.
- Make smart decisions about insourcing vs. outsourcing to optimize efficiency and resource allocation.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce costs and increase operational agility.
- Serve as a key partner across functions--including legal, compliance, actuarial, and finance--to ensure alignment and execution.
- Represent Annuity Operations in vendor engagements and industry forums to stay ahead of trends and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements and maintain rigorous risk management practices.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 15+ years of annuity operational leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of annuity products (fixed, indexed, variable) and related regulations.
- Proven ability to lead in dynamic, rapidly changing environments, and pivot when priorities shift.
- Demonstrated success in running lean, efficient operations and driving large-scale transformation.
- Expertise in technology-driven operational strategies and process automation.
- Comfortable making strategic insourcing/outsourcing decisions.
- Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to influence across levels and functions.
