We create leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats, secure the integrity of our systems and support IT infrastructures around the world.Principal System Administrator, internally known as Principal Analyst, infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a diverse team to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining system health and security posture, directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities. You will work closely with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes and implement solutions to system problems. This position is 100% onsite in Aurora, CO.Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Provide IT systems administration in a Microsoft Windows and Linux environment.
- Windows System Administration of Windows Server 2012/2019 and Windows 7/10 including enterprise level administration of common network services such as Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, Exchange, group policies, and troubleshooting
- Patch Management (WSUS), McAfee ePO, Clustering, OS Upgrades, computer security and system monitoring and logging
- Scripting, particularly in PowerShell, Bash and Python
- Must be able to support occasional after hour maintenance and on-call support
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency.
- Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors
- Administering Red Hat Linux based systems with minimal support, to include patching, creating RPM packages, performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Some scripting knowledge particularly in Bash and Python
- Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) or acquire one within 30 days of start date. Inability to meet this certification requirement within that timeframe may result in termination with Raytheon Technologies. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree.
- 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have Windows and Linux experience.
- Experience with desktop workstation collaboration products and protocols
- Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS, sendmail, and LDAP
- Basic Network knowledge
- Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
