The individual will maintain working relationships with the SUPSHIP-NN Project Team members (primarily the RCOH Maintenance Planning Manager) and support organizations, Newport News Shipbuilding, and COMNAVAIRFOR N43 Staff. This position will be located in Newport News, VA.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site AWP maintenance support services to the SUPSHIP Newport News RCOH Planning Team.
  • Support the development and upkeep of the following products listed below to develop and update the Availability Work Package (AWP) and Ship’s Force Work Package (SFWP).
  • Support data entry for AWP technical and editorial changes in support of the RCOH Maintenance Planning Manager
  • Support maintaining project team action item trackers and advance planning task tracker.
  • Provide for the monthly distribution of the AWP to various RCOH organizations using the PEO Carriers IDE and other government networks.
  • Support AWP technical reviews, program reviews and other meetings as required.
  • Conduct data imports of shipbuilder contract deliverables into government databases.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have High school diploma
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience with aircraft carrier maintenance and operations
  • Experience with shipbuilding / ship repair business analysis
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Access and Power Point
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. One must be able to work well alone and as part of a team.
Preferred/Desired:
  • Eight (8) years of relevant experience
Security Clearance:
  • Must have an active Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship
Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Position is located at the government location in Newport News, VA.
  • The position is 100% in office.
