- Research, analyze, and implement specialized procedures for assigned high-value accounts before initiating collection efforts on past-due balances.
- Analyze account activity to proactively identify potential risks and escalate concerns to management with recommended solutions to mitigate those risks.
- Third-party collection assignment and collaboration: Responsible for coordinating placements with outside collection agencies and providing ongoing support to optimize collection success rates.
- Review and respond to customer inquiries in multiple queues.
- Ability to professionally communicate with and handle the concerns of high-value accounts by thoroughly reviewing the account and collaborating with the appropriate internal departments to resolve them.
- Handle extensive research requirements for more complex account discrepancies and customer inquiries, as assigned by management.
- Serve as a resource to assist other collectors with difficult or complex accounts and situations.
- Willingness to assist in training as needed with new department processes.
- Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize process improvements and ensure collectors are informed of updates and changes impacting daily operations.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years' experience in Business/Corporate Collections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
- A resourceful mindset with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement, along with the ability to efficiently leverage available resources to overcome challenges and drive results.
- Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with acute attention to detail.
- Critical thinker with an ability to independently make decisions and exercise authority within established guidelines and limits.
- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to rapid change.
