Assists the oral surgeon during medical procedures.Responsibilities:
  • Assists in preparation and set-up of for surgical procedures in the office and hospital operating rooms.
  • Monitors patients and assists with general anesthesia and IV sedation procedures in hospital and outpatient office settings.
  • Discusses post-operative instructions for care and management with the patient. Relays post-operative complications/questions to surgeon.
  • Maintains surgical equipment.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED
  • One year of oral surgery assistant experience preferred
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted. Education:
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
