Our team is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our clients by helping them achieve their fullest potential.Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT), the Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for treating patients with health conditions that limit their ability to move and perform everyday activities. They help restore physical function and mobility and work to promote overall wellness. Based on the requirements of the caseload/clients, the mode of treatment could include in clinic, teletherapy and/or home health services.Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by PTs
  • Assist PTs in treating injured, ill or disabled patients to enhance their physical health to effectively
perform daily activities.
  • Collect and compile data to document clients' performance or assess program quality
  • Document clients' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives, according to
submission deadlines
  • Manage a full-time (32+ clients) or part-time (15-30 clients) caseload
  • Develop a strong working relationship with other disciplinary teams to ensure a positive client
experience
  • Build rapport with family members and provide parent education to increase therapy carryover to home
  • Collaborate and provide patient progress to relevant parties
  • Follow all HIPAA rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Added experience and skills:
  • A degree recognized by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education or an agency recognized as qualified to accredit by the AZ Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Must be licensed as a PTA through the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Experience in early intervention treating developmental delays/disabilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of communication disorders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
  • Open to training and education in specific treatment areas.
  • Bilingual strongly preferred.
Working conditions: This position requires intermittent standing, lifting, kneeling and sitting. In addition, this position may work with clients who have mental, physical and/or behavioral issues and who may at times be verbally or physically combative.About Arbor Therapy:We are a growing multi-disciplinary company offering PT/OT/ST/Feeding therapy, in clinic, community-based, and teletherapy.
