- "Care Beyond the Bedside" means that our kids receive their therapies and rehab away from their rooms and out of their beds as much as 70% of the day. The rest of the time, they are playing just being kids in our state of the art facility designed to inspire children!
- Under supervision of the pharmacist, fills patient medication orders.
- Assists the pharmacist in medication preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounds, labeling, prepackaging, unit dosing and storage of medications under proper conditions of refrigeration and security.
- Under supervision of the pharmacist, prepares unit dose medication bins for pharmacist verification.
- Deliver medications to patients and nursing stations.
- Provide required pharmacy services during hours appropriate for necessary contact with medical and nursing staff.
- Respond to questions or requests of medical staff, nursing, etc. when appropriate.
- Participate in quality improvement activities related to all aspects of drug therapy preparation.
- Assist with the management of medication and pharmacy supply inventory including ordering, stocking, and returns.
- Assist the pharmacist in managing controlled substance records, invoices, and reconciliation.
- Assist with medication charge and credit reconciliation.
- Medication area inspections.
- Required to work 8-12 hours per month minimum.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Required: Currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Missouri
- Preferred: Detail-oriented with strong math and organizational skills
- Preferred: Pediatric healthcare experience preferred. 3-5 years pharmacy technician experience
- Preferred: 1-3 years hospital pharmacy technician experience
