
Diesel Equipment Mechanic

- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs on heavy and medium equipment.
- Diagnose and repair powertrain, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Complete and maintain accurate service records using equipment maintenance software.
- Review and address issues identified in Daily Inspection Reports.
- Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns, including service calls within landfill environments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in the field preferred
- Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, ability to stand most of the work day, ability to stoop, kneel, and bend, ability to reach into tight spaces, ability to climb and crawl, ability to reach and twist, ability to grasp and use hand tools with precision, ability to see/read/write work orders, gauges etc., ability to withstand exposure to loud noises.
