- Develop and deliver engaging daily lessons in reading, math, or enrichment, tailored to the age group.
- Create a classroom culture that is inclusive, joyful, and rooted in high expectations.
- Support individual student growth through small group or one-on-one instruction.
- Welcome all volunteers into the classroom with warmth and clarity; provide clear instructions and set expectations to ensure alignment with classroom goals.
- Be team-oriented and receptive to collaborative classroom procedures; foster an inviting and respectful atmosphere for all staff, tutors, and students.
- Explain the EPATT program with enthusiasm and confidence, ensuring all stakeholders feel energized and informed.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and student progress records.
- Be highly organized and plan ahead to ensure smooth classroom operations and lesson delivery.
- Communicate regularly and respectfully with parents, caregivers, and EPATT staff.
- Collaborate with tutors, program coordinators, and support staff to strengthen instruction.
- Attend occasional staff training, curriculum meetings, or community events as needed.
- Previous experience teaching or working with youth in school or community-based settings
- Familiarity with Common Core standards (especially relevant for Elementary and Middle School roles)
- Strong classroom management skills rooted in empathy, structure, and restorative practices
- Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and academic levels

Note: Teachers will not be expected to work during the following breaks and holidays:
- November 24–28 (Thanksgiving Break)
- December 15, 2025 – January 5, 2026 (Winter Break)
- April 7–11 (Spring Break)
- May 25 (Memorial Day)
