Position: Embedded Development Engineer - RDK-BLocation: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite)Work Type: C2CExperience: 5+ YearsPETADATA hiring for an Embedded Development Engineer - RDK-B position for one of their clients.Roles & Responsibilities:Develop and integrate embedded software modules in RDK-B for broadband devices (gateways, modems, routers).Customize RDK-B components to meet product and customer-specific requirements.Implement and debug software related to networking, TR-069/TR-181 data models, and service management.Collaborate with hardware, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure proper integration and testing of RDK-B components.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, stability, and connectivity in broadband devices.Work with open-source tools and contribute to the RDK-B stack as required.Use tools like Yocto, Gerrit, Jenkins, Wireshark, and Git in day-to-day development.Participate in code reviews, documentation, and release management processes.Required Skills:5+ year Development experience with Linux and embedded devices, Experience on Wi-Fi development and debugging for L1/L22+ years of hands-on experience specifically with the RDK-B platform and its components.Telecom/Media domain experience must.Experience and knowledge on IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac, and etc.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, and etc.Expert on common networking protocols, and has hands-on experience on VPNExpert on C and embedded LinuxProficiency in scripting languages like Python,Familiarity with Yocto and RDKEducation:Bachelor's degree in computer science/electronics or related fieldWe offer a professional work environment and provide every opportunity for growth in the Information technology world.Note:Candidates are required to attend Phone/video calls and in-person interviews.
