As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology and electronics location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. You will also provide outstanding customer service, assisting individuals with inquiries and maintaining clear communication with both the client and your team. Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWhat You’ll Do:
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior. Working environments and conditions may vary by location, especially within technology, media, and telecommunications settings.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors and employees with security-related inquiries and provide directions as needed.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site management to address security-related needs specific to the technology, media, and telecommunications environment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, this is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
