Purpose:

Duties and Responsibilities

Transmission Line Engineer for the Power Networks Transmission Line Design group.

Responsible for performing engineering design activities to successfully complete assigned Transmission tasks and projects within budget, per project requirements, and on schedule.

Maintains and willing to expand technical expertise; creates original designs; and develops design guides and standards. Monitors or performs highly complex engineering, design, calculations, analysis or other technical tasks.

Manages his own work load and works with senior technical engineers to proactively solve potential problems. Performs self-checks of own work as well as the work of others when requested.

A team player excelling in the commitment of resolution of complex issues. Must have a positive attitude and engaging personality.

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications
  • 3-6 years experience in transmission line design including EHV (345kV or higher) system designs.
  • Must be experienced in using PLS CADD design software.
  • Must have the ability to design complete transmission line systems and structures.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • PE preferred
  • Construction experience a plus.
