This person will be working along side the housekeeping team cleaning and inspecting rooms, making the public spaces are tidy, and reporting any maintenance issues.Work PerformedThe Housekeeper Supervisor coordinates the activities of housekeeping team members and inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards are achieved. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience to communicate effectively with all departments, employees, and guests both inside and outside of the organization.
Inspect rooms once cleaned by Housekeeping to ensure they meet cleanliness standards'
Assist the Housekeeping department with changing bed linens, restocking room supplies, vacuuming, and dusting
Report cases of property damage to supervisor
Oversee a team of Housekeepers and Housepersons
Clean rooms occasionally or when necessary
Report and return any guest properties that were left behind
Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order
Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest needs
Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
Requirements
High school education or equivalent experience
At least two years Hotel Housekeeping experience preferred
Continuous standing 90% of time
Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited
Pushing up to 50 lbs
Must be able to work independently
Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Hours required: Full Time 32-40 hour AM; PM ; Mid ; shift; scheduled days and times may vary based on need
Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities
Previous customer facing experience preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
