ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.POSITION SUMMARYResponsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Class A truck drivers have the responsibility to safely and effectively load and transport materials and equipment to and from job site locations. A flexible schedule throughout the week could be expected given the nature of the industry. Loads could vary from heavy equipment to construction materials
Follow dispatch instructions
Ensure all work performed is done safely and efficiently
Comply with all regulatory agencies and company safety policies
Maintain accurate logs, records, and daily company paperwork
Complete pre-trip and post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines
Comply with all applicable laws
Report all accidents involving drivers, company equipment, and/or private property
Work with Site Supervisors and Truck Superintendent to coordinate deliveries/loads from job site to job site, dealer, or rental equipment yards
Plan the best route for delivery keeping in mind height, weight, and width restrictions
Ability to work flexible hours some weekends and nights
To maintain a valid Class A CDL and a clean MVR
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Class A CDL Required. Experience is preferred, but not required
Prefer 3 years of verifiable tractor/trailer driving experience hauling heavy construction equipment, loading, securing, unloading, and transporting equipment / materials in a safe and efficient manner
Verifiable Employment History
Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check
Ability to pass and maintain DOT safety sensitive FMCSA requirements about pre/post-employment drug screening and DOT physical
Familiarity with pre-trip and post trip inspection documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines
Applicants must have a valid driver's license, clean MVR
Adequate means of transportation to work
Familiar with all regulatory agency policies (DOT)

SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): RequiredExperience: 5 plus years of experience in heavy equipment repair.Computer Skills: Must be familiar with Microsoft office, scheduling software and standard functions of transferring, saving, and inputting of data on a computer. Must be able to operate an android smart phone or tablet.Requirements: Must possess a CDL.
