- Safely operate facilities in accordance with all applicable government and regulatory requirements while demonstrating and enforcing safety rules, identifying hazards, and participating in incident investigations
- Perform maintenance and monitoring repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, control, and fire life safety systems while maintaining HVAC systems and equipment at optimum levels
- Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation while complying with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Monitor pricing and work quality of outside contractors while reviewing monthly Client Service Request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner while assisting site Facility Management team with emergency situations and taking appropriate actions
- Lead team of Engineers and Maintenance Technicians to ensure work orders are completed properly and efficiently while maintaining clean and safe workplace standards
- Apply thorough knowledge of building systems to achieve optimal operating costs, especially energy efficiency, while satisfying customer requirements and maintaining system performance.
- High school diploma or state equivalent with minimum of two years of college or related trade schooling
- Minimum of four years' experience in electrician trade or related field, OR minimum of four years' experience in HVAC/refrigeration trade or related field
- Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record for site mobility and emergency response requirements
- Ability to perform all work using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) while following safety policies, procedures, and practices
- Thorough knowledge of building systems including thermodynamic, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as computer-controlled equipment
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes
- Physical ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 80 lbs., and working from heights up to 30 feet.
- Prior leadership experience in facilities management or engineering environments for effective team management
- 01/07 electrical certification for enhanced electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Background in energy management and cost optimization strategies for commercial building operations
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements including environmental health and safety standards
- Experience with emergency response procedures and crisis management in commercial facilities
- Understanding of preventive maintenance programs and equipment lifecycle management principles.
