Sr Cloud Engineer - Front End ProcessorLocation: Aurora, ColoradoClearance Required: Top Secret Clearance with CI PolygraphRate: $60 to $80 an hour depending on Qualification and Benefit PackageThe Sr. Front End Processor (FEP) Engineer will support design, development, and implementation of traditional compute/network/storage systems for this effort. This includes getting familiar with existing operating systems and existing server hardware designs; to emulate what is needed in the FEP environment.Expectations and Impact:
  • On-premises Front End Processor (FEP) solution, to include Software-based FEPs (AKA: SoftFEP) or hardware-based appliance FEPs implementations
  • Configure & implement Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) scripts to manage the configuration and troubleshoot the FEP
  • Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system
  • Development of test and integration configurations, optimizing FEP performance across the environment
  • FEP resource allocation & utilization
  • You will assist engineers with tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices
  • You will configure and manage network connectivity for the FEP system
  • You will operate FEP hardware / software diagnostic tools
  • You will setup and configure the FEP software simulator tools
  • You will provide support maintenance & test activities for the factory and within operational facilities
Basic Qualifications:
  • U.S. citizenship and current TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Bachelor Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics
  • Over 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience with on premise RHEL Based infrastructure design
  • Experience designing an integrated system that includes network, compute, and specialized FEP equipment
  • Experience with common information system (compute and network) hardware interfaces
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining Common Cryptographic equipment in a secure environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IT systems in compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
  • Network designs and implementation
  • Linux CLI (Command Line)
  • Automated infrastructure testing of large systems
  • Configuring Hardware (e.g., setting up system network time protocol)
  • System troubleshooting in heterogeneous hardware environments
  • Experience with hardware testing
  • Requirements management throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Hardware design and development activities
  • SAFe agile processes
