
Quality Technician- FAI

- Read and interpret customer PO, clauses, drawings, and specifications to identify appropriate inspection and verification methods
- Interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing specifications
- Program a Micro-Vu CMM for all inspections as required
- Perform first article inspections on new and existing products by AS9102B
- Proficient in the use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, microscopes, etc.)
- Communicate quality issues and concerns with production and engineering staff
- Perform in-process inspections
- Participate in problem-solving teams to support Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
- Collect, analyze, and report on inspection data and maintain data files
- Participate in continuous improvement activities (i.e., waste reduction activities, reducing lead-time, and maintaining 5S standards)
- Assist with calibration and receiving inspection as needed
- Performs other duties as identified.

- Two or more years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Two or more years of experience operating CMM
- Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent education and experience
- Two or more years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5-2009), or the ability/interest to learn
- CMM Programming experience, or the ability/interest to learn
- Excellent computer skills, including typing and the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Experience as a first article inspector
- Experience using a Micro Vu CMM machine, or the ability/interest to learn
- Knowledge of Discuss and InSpec software, or the ability/interest to learn
- Experience navigating within an ERP system (IFS)
- Understanding of technical engineering processes and equipment
- Understanding of mathematical calculations involving basic statistics and operational data
- Experience with basic measurement equipment for part and product inspection
- Familiar with ANSI Z1.4-2003, ANSI Z1.9-2003, or the ability/interest to learn
- Familiar with ISO9001:2008 and AS9100C standards, or the ability/interest to learn
- Able to collect, analyze and report data
- Demonstrated continuous improvement skills (Lean, 6σ), or the ability/interest to learn
