
Recycling Maintenance Technician

- Perform all preventive maintenance duties to equipment according to maintenance schedules
- Track daily work performed and inventory used via work tracking processes and software in place
- Continually monitor machinery and make necessary adjustment(s) and repairs to ensure proper operation
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company and OSHA standards
- Complete all paperwork and/or electronic updates as required
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
- Perform all duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
- Other duties as assigned
- This position will not manage employees
- Ability to recognize and avoid electrical hazards
- Skilled in teamwork and working cross-functionally
- Ability to comprehend and follow safety policies and procedures to determine the level of hazard, proper PPE needed, and job planning to safely perform the task
- Ability to be trained to operate mobile equipment such as fork trucks, man-lifts, and skid steer loaders
- Ability to use heavy industrial shop tools and equipment
- 1-2 years experience in industrial maintenance is preferred
- Frequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbs. Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs
- Frequently working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
- Frequently working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
- Frequently stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
- Frequently climbing and/or balancing
- Frequently sitting/standing/walking
- Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas
- Exposure to residential and commercial waste
- Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
- Must be able to read and speak the English language
General Education Diploma
