- Plan and design engineering aspects of automotive and manufacturing components
- Modify and refine designs using working models to conform to customer specifications, production limitations or changes in design trends
- Produce cad solid models of proposed mechanical components, providing engineering analytics of designed components and systems and recommending optimal materials specifications and component selection for production process
- Prepare detailed drawings of mechanical equipment using computer aided design software
- Produce documentation detailing the design specifications of components and generate engineering test plans and reports in preparation for migrating the design plans into manufacturing production environments
- Evaluate feasibility of design ideas.
- Provide engineering support within the clients new product design processes from inception to development, providing advanced computer aided engineering renditions and models for the proposed components
- Engage in discussions and review meetings with customers and vendors
- 5 years of experience leading the resolution of technical and process issues as they arise
- 5 years of experience in OEM or tier one component delivery.
- 5 years of experience with change control, product definition and change management processes
- 5 years of experience in NX
Travel: Up to 5% domestic and international travel, including visits to vendor location for review meetingsBASE SALARY RANGE: $125,362 to $150,000/year.
