Your Role:The Archers work spans architecture, interiors and furniture. The nature of the studio’s work and collaborative approach means the Interior Designer will play an important part throughout the design process across projects – but with a particular emphasis on scheme delivery and development and production of client furnishings. The right candidate will be a conceptual thinker from an interiors or architectural background and have a passion for and knowledge of historic and contemporary architecture.Your responsibilities:Concept and design development: Work with the team to support and provide input into concept generation, carry out research and provide design inspiration and input to the wider team.Client communications: Experience of communicating directly with clients – via email, phone and in-person meetings. Ability to communicate thoughtfully, clearly and accurately and ensure the wider team is kept appraised of all relevant project information.Drawing/Rendering: The ideal candidate will be proficient in production of custom furniture drawings and have experience of developing renders for client presentations and communications.Production/Procurement: Responsible for material sourcing and specification, visual research, furniture sourcing and collating material and finish samples.Purchasing and Budgeting: Experience of working with purchasing teams and ability to help manage budgets across multiple projects, ensuring accuracy, clarity over budget and timeline and problem-solving as needed.Project management: Support the project lead by providing meeting documentation, attending site and providing project coordination as needed.Technical proficiency:Experienced in software (Rhino, AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel).Able to produce sketches, hand-drawings, visuals and renders as needed to best communicate design internally and in client presentations.Your skills, experience and attributes:4+ years of Interior Design in a similar role at a design firm.Experience of high-end residential and commercial projects.Experience in supporting and working with a wider project team in executing architectural and interior projects from concept development through to final finish.Experience of communicating with clients and wider project team in a professional and clear way to support smooth project running.Ability to multitask, work independently as well as in a teamEmpathy for great design, strong visual skills, with attention to detail, composition, light, colour and form.Calm, mature and professional.Self-motivated - able to work independently whilst always keeping the wider team informed of progress.Analytical with a proactive approach to problem solving.To apply:Please email a brief cover letter (with salary expectations), resume and PDF portfolio samples to: .Portfolio should include: portfolio of recent projects, sample F,F&E schedules, shop drawings/redlines, etc. Please title your email: (Your name)_Project Interior Designers_ application 2025.
