If you're someone with a strong foundation in analyzing pulsatile signals and developing algorithms to estimate physiological parameters, we’d love to meet you! In this role, you'll get the chance to design, validate, and apply innovative algorithms to real-world clinical data sets. We especially welcome applicants with experience in cuffless blood pressure technologies.Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you’ll work alongside a talented team of engineers and researchers, all striving towards a common goal – making a difference in health tech.What You’ll Do:
- Develop and Validate Algorithms: You’ll create cutting-edge algorithms for estimating key physiological parameters from optical signals, testing them with real-world clinical data.
- Lead Data Analysis: Design and carry out detailed analyses of data collected from prototype sensors and human studies, providing valuable insights to the team.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the Sensors Product Engineering team and other cross-functional teams to execute the sensing technology roadmap, meeting customer needs.
- Share Your Insights: Summarize findings and progress in reports and presentations, and communicate results to your team.
- Contribute to Design: Help shape the hardware design and human subject study process, ensuring data collection and analysis are as effective as possible.
- A Ph.D. or M.S. in engineering, mathematics, statistics, chemistry, or computer science.
- 3-5 years of experience in algorithm development, with a solid background in analyzing physiological data and modeling methods.
- Ideally, experience in cuffless blood pressure sensing, but we’re open to your expertise in other areas of physiological sensing!
- A fluency in Python and the scientific Python stack (NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn), along with experience using Git for collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, particularly cardiovascular physiology.
- Experience in designing human subject research studies, along with data collection and analysis.
- A proven track record of developing algorithms validated with real-world device data.
