  • Position Status: Full-time
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm *flexible with start/end times

Responsibilities:Here’s what to expect as a Accountant I at UCP:Manage billing, accounts receivable, and cash account reconciliations.Post adjustments, track receipts, and record County payments in Matrixcare and MIP.Ensure timely submission of bi-monthly PROMISe billings and claim files.Support audit processes and provide required documentation.Maintain service codes, update billing rates, and ensure compliance with contracts.Analyze monthly revenue, address over/under billings, and resolve rejections promptly.Assist with budget preparation, financial audits, and new office setups.Develop procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.Act as a liaison between UCP and the billing system provider. Qualifications:Minimum requirements as a Accountant I:
  • Bachelor’s degree within a related discipline expected and 2 to 5 years of learning experience within a related professional discipline preferred
  • OR Master’s degree within a related discipline and 0 to 2 years of learning experience within a related professional discipline preferred.
  • Areas of Study Related to the Position: Accountancy, Accounting and Information Systems, Business Administration, and Finance.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
It’d be great if you also have –
  • Prior experience with Pennsylvania Medicaid billing and the Pennsylvania Promise and HCSIS systems.
