We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager II to oversee operations in one or more of our maintenance hangars. In this role, you will lead a team of technicians and inspectors, manage day-to-day maintenance operations, and ensure all aircraft repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.What You will do:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee aircraft maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Lead and develop your team: mentor, train, reward, discipline, and hold staff accountable.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure on-time, within-budget aircraft delivery.
- Address maintenance delays and technical issues, implementing process improvements as needed.
- Maintain responsibility for the airworthiness of aircraft within your assigned hangar(s).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
- B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher-level degree may substitute for relevant experience.
- Typically, 8+ years of progressive aviation experience which includes 4+ years of management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a 145 Repair Station environment.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification
- Comprehensive knowledge with aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, aircraft maintenance and inspection processes, procedures and/or returning planes to service
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Corridor experience
- Computerized maintenance tracking system experience, (CAMP, Traxall, Cescom, etc.)
- Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Heavy repair and modification of both metallic and composite structures
