
Power Marketing Project Manager

- Lead the full Request for Proposal (RFP) process with Procurement, including solicitation, evaluation, award, and contract execution
- Manage planning and implementation from initiation through cutover and stabilization
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
- Direct and hold vendors accountable for delivering contracted scope, schedule, budget, and quality, ensuring performance is tracked and issues escalated/resolved
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Power Marketing, Risk, IT, and vendors
- Ensure requirements, solution design, configuration, integration, and testing are completed, validated, and traceable to business needs
- Ensure training, transition, and documentation deliverables are produced and accepted as part of operational readiness
- Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover planning, and operational readiness
- Maintain risk, issue, and change control logs; drive mitigation strategies and governance reviews
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit standards
- Drive cutover execution and hypercare to ensure successful transition
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting to stakeholders and leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of project management experience, focusing on power marketing, portfolio optimization, or Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform implementations. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven track record managing multiple full-cycle technology implementations, including at least one full implementation of a power marketing, portfolio optimization, or ETRM platform, with procurement, vendor oversight, testing, and cutover
- Demonstrated leadership of RFP processes with Procurement, from solicitation through contract execution
- Ability to direct large cross-functional teams and hold vendors accountable for scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Knowledge of utility power marketing operations and portfolio optimization practices, with ability to quickly build domain fluency
- Demonstrated expertise with project controls, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management practices; proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent tools
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with executives, prepare governance materials, and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification
- Understanding of utility market operations, portfolio risk analytics, and integration with forecasting or historian systems
