You will participate in the evaluation, recommendation, design, and specification of building mechanical systems and equipment for project applications, verifying compliance with applicable codes, engineering standards, and best practices.Your Key ResponsibilitiesConduct basic interpretations of drawings of all disciplines, codes, and similar materials.Perform 3-D modeling of mechanical systems using Revit software.Collaborate with architectural, interior, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines in the coordination of mechanical system requirements.Perform engineering calculations to analyze and design building mechanical systems using industry standard tools and software.Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.Perform field work to verify existing conditions.Assist with collecting data and gathering information to support design decisions.Perform other duties as delegated by senior staff.Your Capabilities and CredentialsKnowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including thermodynamic principles and fluid mechanicsAbility to effectively communicate ideas to others.Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD and their use as a drafting and design tool; proficiency a plus.Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs and similar material.Ability to receive directions, follow processes and adopt feedback and suggestions from senior staff.Proficiency in MS Word and ExcelPossess a valid driver's license with a good driving recordEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.   • Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP) - Min Salary $ 82,900.00 - Max Salary $ 116,000.00
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
