Our Client is seeking Structural Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force's Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden, UT. Our Client provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at various locations, including Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). For candidates not local to the Ogden area, a relocation allowance can be providedKey Duties:Lead the development of structural engineering designs for the GBSD program, ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.Prepare studies, formal calculations, specifications, and evaluations for concrete and steel structures, including seismic design.Develop structural design drawings, including foundation plans and details.Support field activities such as boring oversight and facility walkdowns.Review existing conditions and as-built drawings to inform design.Incorporate customer and vendor subcontractor information into final design solutions.Create design configuration packages to support configuration control, change management, and procurement activities.Develop design specifications for use in construction and procurement.Ensure high-quality deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules.Collaborate closely with other technical disciplines as part of an integrated project team.Mentor and support the development of junior structural engineers.Required Skills, Experience, and Education:Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are currently eligible for consideration.Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.This position requires access to federal facilities.
