
Pipeline Engineer, Electrical

- Account for a diverse range of engineering assignments requiring the use of electrical technical experience and industry working knowledge.
- Support the development and execution of midstream projects, ensuring the highest standards in quality, safety, and operational reliability.
- Oversee EPCM contractors on engineering design efforts. Monitor engineering progress and technical aspects to ensure design adheres to project specifications, compliance with industry codes and standards, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in front-end engineering, detailed engineering, procurement of equipment, bid evaluations review, inspection, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Review, provide inputs and approve electrical engineering deliverables.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and verification of engineering deliverables.
- Work with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve electrical technical issues.
- Participate in studies and reviews such as HAZID, Design Review, Model Review, HAZOP, JSA.
- Perform electrical engineering tasks as required to support green field and brown field projects.
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements in electrical engineering.
- Drive innovation in designs to enhance safety, reliability and efficiency.
- Review RFP packages and assist the technical evaluation of equipment and materials for the procurement process.
- Participate in Witnessed Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests.
- Provide on-site electrical field support during construction, commissioning, and startup across various projects.
- Travel to contractor offices for meetings and coordination.
- Manage competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Deliver project priorities, deliverables and deadlines on commitments.
- Prepare and deliver presentations.
- Anticipate internal/external stakeholders needs; assess requirements and identify solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with an emphasis on Power Systems.
- Professional Engineer registration preferred but not required.
- 5-10 years of working experience in electrical engineering, preferably in medium to large-scale EPC projects.
- Oil & Gas industry experience is required, strongly preferred in midstream industry.
- Experience with medium-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems and system controls and protection.
- Knowledge of Transformers, E-Houses, Switchgears and MCCs design, substation design and electrical hazardous area classification, single-line diagrams, schematics, grounding, lighting, and raceway designs.
- Ability to perform power system studies and electrical calculation computer applications.
- Proficiency in ETAP power system software (preferred).
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, API standards, methods and practices.
- Familiarity with Natural Gas Engineering Standards, OSHA and Safety practices.
- Experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC of medium to large industrial projects, midstream projects highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority.
- Ability to integrate new technologies into daily work processes.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience working effectively in a functional team with other disciplines and understanding their interface requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Bluebeam, GIS Viewer, Hexagon.
