- Required Experience: Minimum three years of successful major gift fundraising or equivalent experience
- Required Education: Bachelor's degree
- Other: Knowledge of the principles and best practices associated with major gift fundraising. Possess strong analytical skills. Strategic approach to problem-solving. Personable presence, demeanor and the desire to work face-to-face with the external community. Outstanding commitment to customer service. Willingness and ability to learn and utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Raiser's Edge.
- Ideal Personal Profile: Strong attention to detail, with an outstanding ability to multi-task. Initiates and has the ability to work independently. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Commitment to the mission and values of Mercy.
- Preferred Experience: Experience in effectively working with all levels of organizational leadership and staff. Success in soliciting major gifts (gifts of $10,000+). Experience securing philanthropic support for hospital or health system. Preferred Certification/Registration: CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive).
