Environmental/Wastewater Technician with Security Clearance

Duties and Responsibilities: In this position, you will support the sites wastewater and HAZMAT programs including the monitoring of wastewater discharge and day to day ownership of HAZMAT holding and satellite collection areas. Your responsibilities will include: * Operating and maintaining industrial wastewater treatment and purification systems, which support our operations facilities
  • Monitor satellite HAZMAT collection sites to ensure compliance. Transport containers to holding area when full.
  • Ensure proper shipments and manifesting of hazardous waste
  • Performing routine preventative and corrective maintenance procedures
  • Utilizing quality systems and diagnosing process issues in industrial treatment systems Utilizing SAP Maintenance planning software
  • Taking liquid and solid samples and submitting for routine laboratory tests
  • Interacting with factory and other customers and stakeholders
  • Role modeling safety and be involved in facilities maintenance team Shift Schedule: First Shift M-F (7AM-3:30PM) Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements: * Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 2-4 years prior experience working in wastewater systems operation.
  • Associates Degree in related field or relevant military experience.
  • Experience manifesting and shipping hazardous/non-hazardous waste
