
Operator Technician (Winnemucca, NV)

- This is an on-site hourly full-time position
- Rotating day and night shifts
- 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Monitor product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with other workers to ensure constant product flow
- Record operating data such as products and quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers
- Check conditions and weights of vessels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures
- Railcar groundwork - connecting and disconnecting couplers and air lines and spotting for the railcar mover
- Set manual brakes on rail cars
- Provide groundskeeping services, such as clearing weeds
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Basic computer skills required
- Continuous successful completion of safety training courses and any other courses deemed appropriate by the company
- Ascending or descending stairs, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
- Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to sustain prolonged use of a Computer
- Ability to drive at night
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- Valid driver's license is required
