
LiDAR Systems Engineer

- Participate in the design, integration, and testing of advanced LiDAR systems for airborne, drone, and ground-based platforms.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple LiDAR-related contracts.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software, mechanical, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless system performance.
- Oversee QA/QC processes for LiDAR data acquisition and processing workflows.
- Contribute to proposal development, technical documentation, and system specifications.
- Stay current with emerging LiDAR technologies and recommend innovations to enhance system capabilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Geomatics, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in LiDAR system development and/or LiDAR system components development
- Demonstrated experience with system-level integration, including optics, sensors, and embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of LiDAR data processing, calibration, and QA/QC standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is preferred.
- Experience with airborne and bathymetric LiDAR systems.
- Familiarity with ASPRS standards and federal geospatial data requirements.
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Python, or C for system control and automation.
