- Exercise independent judgment to proactively identify and generate trades, considering portfolio drift, model changes, tax optimization, and other strategic factors.
- Support scheduled trading events such as dollar cost averaging, scheduled withdrawals, bulk tax harvest, corporate action model updates and trades tied to ad-hoc client requests.
- Respond to internal client-facing teams regarding portfolio management inquiries, impact evaluation, and recommendations that ensure alignment with portfolio guidelines and operational feasibility
- Develop and recommend strategic improvements in trade generation processes, oversight mechanisms, and reporting structures, ensuring alignment with goals and risk management standards.
- Contribute to training initiatives for both onshore and offshore teams to ensure consistent understanding of process changes and trading workflows
- Participate as needed in projects aimed at optimizing portfolio outcomes, scaling operational capabilities, and improving client experience
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data accuracy, reduce manual dependencies, and streamline trade-related operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of scheduled account maintenance and operational tasks.
- Participate in development of test scripts and execute user acceptance testing to validate new processes, system enhancements, or rule changes tied to trade generation lifecycle.
- Collect and evaluate data metrics to show alignment with team objectives and deliverables, support decision making, and identify process inefficiencies or areas lacking control.
- Monitor dashboards and visual summaries for outliers and escalate discrepancies promptly
- Follow documented SOPs, identify and escalate process gaps, and uphold compliance with internal policies and risk standards
- Contribute proactively in meetings to highlight potential issues and drive effective resolution
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or related fields
- 2-5 Years of experience in portfolio management, investment operations, or similar role within financial services
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable explaining trade rationale to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking, with the ability to connect trading logic to portfolio outcomes.
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction concepts, investment strategies, and risk management principles.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and a collaborative attitude.
- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, market-oriented environment, capable of working under pressing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Portfolio Management Systems (Ex: Vestmark, InvestCloud, BlackRock Aladdin, or similar)
- Familiarity with Salesforce application
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong data analysis skills
- Knowledge of tax-aware trading principles, portfolio drift logic, and model-based investment strategies
