We are currently seeking an Shared Services Intern to join our PBS Shared Services department and be based in our St Louis MO headquarters. The scope of your role will be to provide support to all functional areas of the Peabody Business Services shared service model, including but not limited to the following:Duties will include:
- Shipment-to-Cash (S2C): Customer Invoicing, Sales Accounting, Taxes and Royalties, Accounts Receivable, Customer Collections and Receipts; General Accounting, Reconciliations, Audit Support.
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P): Master Data Management, Procurement, Vendor Agreements and Insurance, B2B, Purchase Order Creation and Change, Vendor Invoice Exception Workflow, Accounts Payable.
- Hire-to-Retire (H2R): Employee Services, Benefits Administration, Payroll, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Duties may be both projects oriented as well as daily operational responsibilities.
This position is a full-time role. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office / home working arrangements and opportunity to finish at noon on Friday's.About you:
- College undergraduate status for those currently pursuing the following majors: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Human Resources, Organizational Management, Information Systems; other relevant majors may also be considered.
- Knowledge of Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
- Ability to learn SAP and other software, including but not limited to ServiceNow
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data and root cause analysis
- Strong customer service focus and orientation
- Flexible and willing to support in multiple functional areas
- Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.
- Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.
- Must be able to use a computer.
- Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
