
Tool Application Specialist - DSC

- 2+ years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry working in a Tool Application Engineering role or process improvement role.
- 2+ years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry working with CNC machining or composite manufacturing.
- 2+ years experience with customer service
- Bachelors Degree is required. Bachelor’s of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology is preferred.
- Direct customer facing experience either supporting production, industrialization of product or frontline leadership.
- Able to effectively identify, report and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks.
- Able to perform producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives.
- Works through a disciplined approach in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing projects.
- Work and deliverables reviewed and checked through team leadership, Project/Program management, and Functional management to adequately meet objectives
- Mentors and shares manufacturing technology with teammates and colleagues.
- Knowledge and/or expertise in one or more of the following:
- Zoller
- Vericut
- Catia
- Unigraphics
- Cribmaster
- NC Programming
- Able to apply cutting tool design and analysis knowledge to evaluate discrepancies and anomalies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Outlook
