
Protein Expression Senior Associate Scientist

- Prokaryotic and eukaryotic expression (both transient and stable) of recombinant gene constructs.
- Conduct small to large scale protein production runs to generate material to support discovery, in-vitro and in-vivo assay development and early development of novel therapeutic molecules.
- Construct expression vectors that will be used to generate stable pools expressing proteins of interest.
- Prepare precise technical report summaries, protocols, analysis and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Maintain high scientific rigor and attention to detail in testing hypotheses and analyzing data.
- Represent the Protein Sciences team and present relevant data at project team meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in cell biology, molecular biology or related field with 1+ years of hands-on experience.
- Training and demonstrated proficiency in cell biology and aseptic cell culture with a wide variety of cell types.
- Master’s degree preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, exhibiting self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills required.
- Knowledge and proficiency in molecular biology and protein analysis techniques (SDS-PAGE, Western Blot) – hands on experience preferred.
- Recombinant protein expression experience in prokaryotic (E. coli) and eukaryotic (yeast, mammalian) systems - preferred
- Experience in the generation and functional assessment of recombinant cell lines expressing various target proteins is a plus
