Amteck is seeking an Electrical Engineer to maximize their career potential in our Lexington office. This position will partner with a multi-discipline team to develop designs of electrical power systems for construction projects located across the country in a fast-paced, challenging, fun and rewarding environment. Most project designs will be for new manufacturing facilities and will also include some lighter commercial as well as heavier industrial buildings.Opportunities may include, but not limited to:
  • Innovating project approach to optimize safety, schedule, and profitability.
  • Training and mentoring less experienced engineers in their technical and professional development.
  • Performing quality control reviews.
  • Providing support for our clients during construction.
  • Performing field inspections, compliance documentation, and factory acceptance testing.
  • Leading a team of electrical engineering professionals to ensure project success.
  • Presenting designs and proposals to clients, permitting authorities, public interest groups, etc.
  • Corresponding and/or meeting with clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Leading project proposal efforts.
  • Advancing into leadership roles.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program (preferred) or 1-5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in AutoCAD electrical and Revit (Preferred).
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a dynamic, quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Code.
  • Experience in electrical design and circuits.
  • Strong administrative, accounting, computer, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
  • Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors.
  • Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally.
  • Proficiency with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE / ANSI Standards.
  • 10% travel required.
