- Virtualization platforms (e.g. Hyper-V, VMware).
- Hyper Converged Infrastructure and Virtual Storage Attached Networking.
- Cloud platforms, including their features and capabilities with providers such as Azure GCCH and commercial tenants.
- Enterprise Operating Systems and Databases (e.g. Windows Server,).
- It would be advantageous that you can also demonstrate knowledge of the following:
- Microsoft 365 platforms, concepts and architecture including: Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, EntraID.
- Network technologies (e.g. firewalls, switching and routing) and network architecture.
- Project management tools and techniques.
- Cyber Security mindset a plus.
- The ideal candidate would also be educated to degree level or possess relevant professional experience.
- Strong infrastructure architecture skills in architecting technology components across software, infrastructure and networks.
- Ability to take a loose set of requirements and build a high-level architecture using common standards. Refining the architecture as more information is discovered, decisions identified, and choices are made.
- Proven ability to analyze complex components, identify decision points, draw conclusions and produce design artefacts.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people within a broad group of stakeholders including project managers, business analysts, developers, engineers and testers.
- Experience of designing and delivering systems using industry standard frameworks and other mainstream standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Delivery focused with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment to drive activities forward and meet demanding deadlines.
- Some Enterprise Security experience (e.g. IDS/IPS, Encryption, PKI).
- Manage co-location datacenter utilizing IaaS and various pieces on capital equipment ensuring zero to no downtime, documentation, best practices.
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux-based systems in both ESXi and cloud environments. Ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the systems.
- Advise on best practices for core services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Co-manage, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure components, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, Azure AD(Entra ID), and enterprise app registrations in both GCCH and Commercial cloud environments.
- Some Knowledge of AWS cloud resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, and IAM roles.
- Manage and Design complex VMware and Windows hypervisor technologies to design, deploy, and manage virtualized environments for performance and scalability.
- Comanage and Maintain enterprise backup and storage solutions, including Rubrik Backup Appliance and PureStorage Arrays.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Azure Automation.
- Enhance monitoring system tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios and all associated components and modules a must.
- Implement performance tuning measures to enhance infrastructure reliability and efficiency. Create monitoring profiles and dashboards within SolarWinds.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.
- Share expertise and mentor team members through documentation and training sessions.
- Develop and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans for critical systems and data.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to infrastructure engineering, cloud computing, and virtualization.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong proficiency in Windows server administration, Linux system administration, and performance tuning.
- Understanding of Azure and 0365 in the GCC tenant a plus. Must have VMs, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, experience.
- Expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong experience with SolarWinds monitoring platform.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or higher.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter and understand the value this role brings to the business.
- Some travel will be required with this role within the USA.
