
Fleet Mechanic – Sign-on Bonus

- Troubleshoot & repair electrical, mechanical, air, and hydraulic systems on Class 8 trucks and trailers.
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnose engine codes, and service refrigeration units.
- Inspect equipment for safety issues, including brakes, suspensions, tires, and electrical systems.
- Learn & use Emdecs Kona fleet management software to document repairs.
- Provide detailed reports of work performed and repairs completed.
- Operate tools, lifting equipment, and jack stands safely while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Adapt to changing work schedules, emergencies, and shop priorities.
- Work Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, and participate in an on-call rotation every 3-4 weeks with an on-call bonus.
- Travel occasionally for roadside service within a 3-hour radius (no overnight travel).
- Experienced: 3-5 years as a diesel or trailer mechanic with a high school diploma or GED required; CDL license preferred, EPA certification and trailer experience a plus.
- Safety-minded: Committed to health and safety guidelines in all repair and maintenance work.
- Skilled: Proficient with hand and precision measurement tools, with strong problem-solving ability.
- Communicator: Able to read manuals, write reports, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
- Organized: Detail-oriented, efficient, and able to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
- Adaptable: Works well independently and within a team, with confidence and initiative.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable with basic technology and documentation software.
- Active: Able to bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various conditions.
- $28-$32 per hour. DOE
