- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for advancing health equity and inclusion across the organization, in alignment with the mission, vision, and values.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the health equity and inclusion committee, staff, and other key partners on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and best practices.
- Establish and monitor metrics and indicators to measure the impact and effectiveness of health equity and inclusion efforts.
- Conduct and coordinate training, education, and awareness programs on topics related to health equity and inclusion, such as cultural competency, implicit bias, microaggressions, and allyship.
- Facilitate and support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols that promote health equity and inclusion and prevent discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
- Identify and address gaps and barriers in access, quality, and satisfaction of health care services for diverse and underserved populations.
- Engage and collaborate with community partners, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders to build trust, foster dialogue, and address health disparities and social determinants of health.
- Advocate for and represent the voice and needs of diverse and underserved populations in decision-making processes and resource allocation.
- Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in health equity and inclusion and disseminate relevant information and resources to the organization and the community.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in public health, social work, health administration, or related field preferred.
- At least five years of experience in leading and managing health equity and inclusion programs and initiatives in a health care setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health equity and inclusion principles, concepts, and frameworks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and evidence to inform and evaluate strategies and actions.
- High level of cultural competency, sensitivity, and awareness, with the ability to interact respectfully and inclusively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with the willingness to seek and provide feedback and challenge the status quo.
- Passion for advancing health equity and inclusion and creating positive social change.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify opportunities and solutions for advancing health equity and inclusion goals.
