We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor leader who will direct and coordinate activities sought at preventive maintenance, continuous optimization and improvement of production equipment and physical plant. Minimizing machine downtime due to maintenance issues while ensuring safety efficiently will be one of the main responsibilities of this role.Main Job Duties:
  • Ensure a Safety-First culture and support the company's safety standards
  • Negotiate and oversee outside vendors/suppliers for the execution of maintenance work
  • Conduct reviews for all new equipment purchases and improvements of existing equipment/machinery
  • Schedule and maintain the preventative maintenance (PM)
  • Manage & and develop maintenance staff effectively
  • Oversee and prioritize plant priorities about breakdowns, projects & and PMs and allocate to maintenance staff.
  • Manage the on-call program of maintenance employees to ensure plant production downtime is maintained to a minimum.
  • Participate in audits and ownership responsibilities to ensure compliance with, Hazardous Material, environmental safety and waste Management Program
  • Responsible for Effectively planning and managing shutdown maintenance
  • Other duties assigned by Supervisors
Required Education & Experience:
  • Completion of College or University, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. People with experience in a related industry in leadership roles will also be considered.
  • 5+ years experience in a maintenance leadership role in the manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts and extensive experience overseeing electrical, hydraulics, and mechanical work
  • Experience working with air compressors, motors, pneumatic systems, conveyance systems, and production machines, PLCs.
  • Knowledge of TPM and Lean Sigma concepts preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, PM programs, reading of drawings/schematics, machining, and welding
